I had wonderful 5 day tour of the prehistoric cave art in the Dordogne region with Gabrielle. I saw over 10 caves, a museum, old historical towns and chateaux.
Gabrielle had everything organized perfectly and I didn’t have to do anything or worry at all. She took me to amazing restaurants every day and she’s a chef so she knows the good stuff. Her enthusiasm for the art in the caves never stopped by the 5th day. She never drove recklessly and always knew where everything was on the small country roads.

It has been a most memorable week in the Provence with our Guide Gabrielle.
She organised every thing down to smallest of detail and was flexible when we needed to change our departure Everything was no problem for her and the tour she planned was just what we wanted it was fabulous. Best antique markets and pretty villages the food was always delicious at specially chosen restaurants and a wonderful picnic amongst the lavender and although the lavender was not in bloom it was interesting to visit little factories where they made essential oils . We will be back to do the Loire Tour as we already know it will be fabulous.

We enjoyed our tour of 2 caves with Gabby Wise. She provides a complete package: punctual pickup, safe driving by someone knowledgeable about local customs for narrow 1 lane roads, timing for when to arrive for cave tours, and quite important – reservations at an excellent restaurant for lunch. We saw Lascaux cave number 4 which is spectacular after a short wait for an English language tour. Then lunch. And second Rouffignac cave which was a strange interesting, good surprise – we took a train more than 1 kilometer into the cave and saw the actual original drawings of Mammoths, horses, ibex and more. The tour guide only spoke French, but Gabby provided us with information in English. We were also accompanied by our 12-year-old grandson – Gabrielle interacted well with him and he also enjoyed the tour.

We would give Gabrielle Wise 10 stars but given the parameters will do 5. My husband and I had an in depth look at the magnificent Dordogne and surrounding areas. Gabrielle would adjust the scheduling according to weather, market day etc. so that we could experience everything on a ‘local’ level. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor, is a wonderful driver and went above and beyond. For example, we drove to Domme from Sarlat on a beautiful day but the ground fog had not dissipated so we could not view the valley. Later that afternoon, Gabrielle drove us back to Domme so we could view the spectacular scenery. We went to marvelous restaurants, sampled wonderful foods, saw gorgeous scenery, met lovely people and fell in love with the area. The history of the area is fascinating and we learned so much from wonderful Gabrielle. Her enthusiasm and love for the area is unparalleled. We can not recommend her highly enough.
She truly is the best!!!

My party of 6 had a great and memorable time as Gabrielle shared with us many of the beautiful castles and dramatic sights of the Loire region. Our accommodation was perfect not changing hotels.
She is very knowledgeable and knows all of the amazing, almost secret, places that you would likely miss on your own, like a tiny porcelain factory along the Loire river.
She is also a great driver, which seems to me to be important in this terrain. She is personable and flexible; she is everything you would ask for in a tour guide.
